About Us

coleTEK's has a small team of highly skills individuals that provides a broad range of services in robotics, engineering, web technologies and computer services. These services range from prototyping autonomous, semi-autonomous, and/or remote control solutions, in hardware and/or software. To more well known services such as such as software development, electronic design and development, and computer/network security, computer repairs, web hosting, website development and SEO.

The team is comprised of Luke Cole, his brother Lance Cole and their father Shane Cole. Luke Cole is the chief technology officer (CTO), and has had extensive experience working with leading industrial and research organisations such as Hemisphere GPS, NICTA, CSIRO ICT Centre, Seeing Machines and the Research School of Information Sciences and Engineering at the Australian National University. Lance Cole has backgrond of various hardware development, such as working for a contract company to the US millary (EOS), building the Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station (CROWS), and robotics research and development at the Research School of Information Sciences and Engineering at the Australian National University. Shane Cole also has a background in hardware as a brilliant craftman and automotive mechanic, before completing a Diploma in IT after studing UNIX computer systems.

Most of the profits from coleTEK are put into our research and development of novel robotic solutions, which will become for sale within our catalogue (Coming Soon) in the near future.

Another project being developed by coleTEK is MiC, pronounced "mick" for Mobile Interactive Computer. MiC is being designed as an indoor autonomous robot for human-computer interaction research and development. It is hoped that future versions of MiC will one day autonomously help you around the house and be as common, if not more, as computers.

History

coleTEK (formally eteck™), founded in 2000 by Luke Cole (BE, BIT), was designed as a automated online electronics shop. To supply customers with electronic equipment such as computer goods, electronic circuits and robotic devices, at anytime, anywhere. Using automation and e-commence to reduce the business overheads and therefore providing competitive prices.

Since the business name change in 2004, coleTEK has been brainstorming future shopping methods. This resulted in coleTEK releasing a website in 2006 called LowZo, which provides a sole website for any business and individual to sell/modify their products and services free of charge. This type of website maintains convenience and consistency in customer service. The purpose of LowZo was to allow coleTEK's staff to focus on their true abilities: security, automation and robotics.
