About Us

coleTEK provides a variety of a broad range of services in web, computer and engineering services. These services include website design, hosting, computer repair, technology consultation, technical security, software development, circuit design and robot development and research. Our team has university degree's in robotics engineering and information technology, and have extensive experience working with leading industrial and research organisations such as Hemisphere GPS, NICTA, EOS, CSIRO ICT Centre, Seeing Machines and the Research School of Information Sciences and Engineering at the Australian National University.

Most of the profits from coleTEK are donated to individuals or organisations for research and development of circuits and software mostly for robotic devices, which will become for sale within our catalogue (Coming Soon) in the near future.

One of Luke Cole's personal projects being sponsored by coleTEK is MiC, pronounced "mick" for Mobile Interactive Computer. MiC is being designed as a cheap research platform for advancements in robotics by research hobbyists. It is hoped that future versions of MiC will one day autonomously help you around the house and be as common, if not more, as computers.

Another project being sponsored by coleTEK, which can be seen in the GIF animation to the right, will be used for outdoor research, such as surveillance. It is hoped that future developments will perform common backyard tasks such as taking out the garbage, or mowing the lawn.

Where are we?

History

coleTEK (formally eteck™), founded in 2000 by Luke Cole (BE, BIT), was designed as a automated online electronics shop. To supply customers with electronic equipment such as computer goods, electronic circuits and robotic devices, at anytime, anywhere. Using automation and e-commence to reduce the business overheads and therefore providing competitive prices.

Since the business name change in 2004, coleTEK has been brainstorming future shopping methods. This resulted in coleTEK releasing a website in 2006 called LowZo, which provides a sole website for any business and individual to sell/modify their products and services free of charge. This type of website maintains convenience and consistency in customer service. The purpose of LowZo was to allow coleTEK's staff to focus on their true abilities: security, automation and robotics.
